Improved + Auto-Pilot Thank You Notes

We want to improve the thank you experience to make it easier to send high quality thank you notes.
Additionally, we want to allow you to set up automated thank yous that will get sent after 1 to 7 days if you didn't already send one. This would allow you to put thank you notes on "auto-pilot" but still let you manually thank VIP donors whenever you'd like.

Josie Shields-Stromsness: We are still working out a few bugs and putting on the finishing touches. Our current goal is to launch it in early March after a round of testing.

Our tech and design team have made great progress in designing this feature and we're starting with usability testing this month. We haven't started building it yet, so it will still be some time before this feature is live. Looking forward to being able to share more!

Miranda Cleland: Several years ago they were linked to the donations. However, due to a chance to our accounting systems, they are logged as separate transactions in the system. There may be a way to consolidate them, but it may make the system slower as a result. In short, it's not impossible, but on the harder side. As a result, I suspect everyone would be happier if we spent that same amount of time making thank you notes or project reports better (first).

That is a really good idea. If Global Giving can make it easier to send personalised thank you notes it would be a great help. Currently, it seems quite complicated, and I am never sure whether the changes in the template which show up in the preview as well have really been accepted and sent to the correct donor.

I'm frustrated with "Thank you" emails because when I first go to my Donations from the Dashboard, I see my full list of donations for all projects. Then when I send a thank you email, it bounces me to the donation list for that specific project and there's no way to navigate back to the main list or even to the dashboard without first clicking home, then dashboard, then donations. I find this to be a loss of time. Any chance that could be improved? Thank you! Love that you're asking us for feedback :o)
