We've made some excellent progress on speeding up approval systems for both projects and reports this year, and learned from the All-Partner survey in March that most people are satisfied with the speed of approvals. Onward!

For project reports, the response is fast but it will be advisable to get a person specific that understands the location where the project is cited as that way ratings for the project report will be better and understood as using an automated system will see most project reports dumped in the bin when really there is content in the report

Response time for approval is not an issue. However, feedback in terms of improving report quality will be helpful.

In my experience, they are already approved quickly. Of course if you can make it faster is always better.

Al: I agree. I think the approval system at the moment works great.

Al: Agreed, I am always impressed with how quickly approvals and comments come back!

Al: Thanks Al and everyone else! Currently the systems we use to review projects and reports are older and slow, so staff spends a lot of time doing them. We're hoping by improving those internal systems, GlobalGiving staff can spend more time engaging with nonprofit partners in meaningful ways.

Miranda Cleland: You need to be really careful about approving project reports using Natural Language Processing. Except for a few lexical analysis, trying to 'understand' what the project report says by automation is not advisable.
